100 Thieves showed steadiness of a rollercoaster in their second LAN match. The series was a bizarre display of momentum swings and "snowball"
100T lost to BetBoom 13-2, 12-16 (after losing 4-12 lead) and 13-5. The inexperience as a roster and a really mixed bag of a team showed big time for the international CS2 squad.

Legendary AWPer Woes: The Device Dilemma in 2026
Device seems that he’s not the player he once was anymore. It’s been hard for some of the legendary AWPers to transition from CS:GO to CS2. Device was the worst player of the series with CS2 stats of 0.75 and worst Swing number.
Some of the fans are looking at the team saying that they are not even serious with the project, more like cashing out from the big organization.
This match looked like a true fiesta with teams trading super long winning streaks. After all it was BetBoom who dominated most of the match. Even though it went full three maps, BetBoom won the rounds 38 vs 23 with 15 round differential.
BetBoom’s Vision: Structure Over Stars
While 100T struggled with identity, BetBoom is leaning into a new system. Speaking after the match, captain Boombl4highlighted that the team is prioritizing a new structure under head coach Artem "Fierce" Ivanov.
"A new coach, new structure, and we're trying to find our game as a team," Boombl4 told HLTV.
The standout was undoubtedly d1Ledez, who is currently averaging a world-class 1.50 rating at the event. Boombl4 noted that even with their star player "thinking more" and adapting to the new system, his raw talent is carrying them through. Despite the near-collapse on Nuke, Boombl4 dismissed rumors of "bad vibes" that plagued the team in Bucharest, attributing their stumbles purely to nerves.
Looking Ahead for the Rest of Roman Imperium Cup V
BetBoom now advances to a revenge-match semi-final against Gentle Mates, with a desperate eye on VRS points for Major qualification. For 100 Thieves, the journey ends here in this tournament. They showed they can beat a top-20 team like NiP, but their "mixed bag" roster and lack of any kind of team play make their future in CS2 look incredibly uncertain.
What to Expect from 100 Thieves in CS2 This Season?
1. Long-Term Project, Not a Quick Fix
100 Thieves have made it clear: this isn’t a short-term experiment. With gla1ve as coach, dev1ce as AWPer, and rain as IGL, they’re blending legendary experience with young talent. The org is prioritizing structure, development, and consistency over instant results. As of now the consistency is not anywhere to be seen even looking behind the score board.
2. Growing Pains Are Expected
Their early LAN performances show clear flaws. Shaky synergy, inconsistent fragging, and mental collapses. But gla1ve has emphasized that the team is still learning how to play together and adapt to his system. Expect more ups and downs before stability sets in.
Below elite level team play is expected, when this roster has been pulled out of thin air. None of the players have played with each other before, and getting used to new postitions, new style and new first timer IGL takes time, if it ever will get better.
3. VRS Points and Major Qualification Are Key Goals
The team is focused on climbing the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) to secure a Major invite. Upcoming events like Journey Spring in Stockholm, BCG Masters in Bucharest, and Roman Imperium Cup VII will be crucial proving grounds.
4. Device’s Form Is a Watchpoint
His transition to CS2 has been rocky. If device can’t regain consistency, it may force role or roster adjustments. But the org seems committed to giving him time to adapt. For 100 Thieves device is the most important marketing machine.
