"A new coach, new structure, and we're trying to find our game as a team," Boombl4 told HLTV.
The standout was undoubtedly d1Ledez, who is currently averaging a world-class 1.50 rating at the event. Boombl4 noted that even with their star player "thinking more" and adapting to the new system, his raw talent is carrying them through. Despite the near-collapse on Nuke, Boombl4 dismissed rumors of "bad vibes" that plagued the team in Bucharest, attributing their stumbles purely to nerves.

BetBoom now advances to a revenge-match semi-final against Gentle Mates, with a desperate eye on VRS points for Major qualification. For 100 Thieves, the journey ends here in this tournament. They showed they can beat a top-20 team like NiP, but their "mixed bag" roster and lack of any kind of team play make their future in CS2 look incredibly uncertain.
What to Expect from 100 Thieves in CS2 This Season?
1. Long-Term Project, Not a Quick Fix
100 Thieves have made it clear: this isn’t a short-term experiment. With gla1ve as coach, dev1ce as AWPer, and rain as IGL, they’re blending legendary experience with young talent. The org is prioritizing structure, development, and consistency over instant results. As of now the consistency is not anywhere to be seen even looking behind the score board.
2. Growing Pains Are Expected
Their early LAN performances show clear flaws. Shaky synergy, inconsistent fragging, and mental collapses. But gla1ve has emphasized that the team is still learning how to play together and adapt to his system. Expect more ups and downs before stability sets in.
Below elite level team play is expected, when this roster has been pulled out of thin air. None of the players have played with each other before, and getting used to new postitions, new style and new first timer IGL takes time, if it ever will get better.
3. VRS Points and Major Qualification Are Key Goals
The team is focused on climbing the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) to secure a Major invite. Upcoming events like Journey Spring in Stockholm, BCG Masters in Bucharest, and Roman Imperium Cup VII will be crucial proving grounds.

His transition to CS2 has been rocky. If device can’t regain consistency, it may force role or roster adjustments. But the org seems committed to giving him time to adapt. For 100 Thieves device is the most important marketing machine.
