As we earlier discussed, it was not the GamerLegion or SAW core that the new CS2 team 100Thieves got. The newly announced roster add young talent poiii, Ag1l and sirah in the organization.
Before 100 Thieves made their return to Counter-Strike official it was rumoured they were investigating the possibility of signing a core that already sported a VRS rank, such as GamerLegion's core, but ultimately 100 Thieves have gone a different route. Even GamerLegion CEO Nicolas Reber said that there was an interest from 100Thieves side to acquire their players.
With this announcement 100 Thieves have completed their squad for the upcoming year, opting to put together a team that will have to start from zero and grind their way to a VRS ranking. Previously, in October 2020, 100 Thieves withdrew from the Counter-Strike due to challenges with the pandemic and competitive esports across the ocean.
Structure wise this team looks fun. It is the two most legendary Counter-Strike players in the world. Rain and device, supported by the next generation CS2 talent.
