Just another day at the office for the Mongolian rookie
Our previous prediction just got absolutely cobrazera-ed. While the CS2 analysts and the bookmakers were busy mourning the loss of Senzu during the player break, The MongolZ were busy polishing a diamond in the rough.
Cobrazera, the 18‑year‑old Mongolian rifler made his arena debut and delivered a true statement performance. He finished the series with a 1.34 rating and several momentum‑shifting rounds. Maybe our initial prediction of The MongolZ slump was premature. They seem to have found another Mongolian wonderkid.
The Full Match Recap: BT Arena was Cobrazera's Home
Final Score: The MongolZ 2 – 1 FURIA

Map 1: Mirage (13-3 MongolZ)
The match opened on Mirage, where The MongolZ immediately erased FURIA’s pistol win and stormed to a dominant 9–3 lead. The rookie was near unstoppable.
Cobrazera finished with a 2.10 rating, treating his arena debut like a casual CS2 deathmatch. His highlight was anti-eco ace. (link here) FURIA’s tactical depth was non-existent as the rookie’s entry frags blew open sites before the Brazilians could even set up.
Map 2: Dust2 (13-10 FURIA)
The match seemed to be total blow out from the MongolZ. FURIA had to show near perfect CT side to bounce back from 9-3 deficit after first half. On the second they showed the class we expected, pulling off a gritty CT-side comeback from a 3-9 deficit. Their double-AWP setup finally slowed the Mongolian pace. Techno and mzinho especially went totally missing as Terrorists.
Map 3: Nuke (13-10 MongolZ)
The MongolZ returned to their high-octane form. Despite again lacking the finishing touch they had a bit late-game wobble. After all their 9-3 offensive half provided enough of a cushion. A clinical two-second ramp hold sealed the deal, sending the world #2 packing and the Mongolians into the Semi-Finals.
All in all this match looked even more one sided for the Mongolian CS2 team, than the end result shows. Worrying sign for FURIA, but after this we cannot ignore the potential of The MongolZ.
What We Learned? (CS2 Analysis of the FURIA - The MongolZ)
The "senzu" Void is Filled: We thought losing senzu would cripple their title hopes. Instead, cobrazera has provided a true CS2 wonderkid signs. His statistical ceiling is super high. (1.34 series rating).
Unbelieveable debut performance in Arena: CS2 players many times talk about the pressure of the arena LAN environment. Cobrazera felt nothing. He handled the BT Arena crown and took even more energy out of it. Can someone slow him down in the semi-finals?
The opponent does not get any easier: The MongolZ needed a statement victory like this over FURIA to gain confidence in the semi-final clash against Vitality. The worrying factor was their lack of killing instinct on two consecutive maps. BlitZ’s boys won’t get this many chances to close out the games. But MongolZ handicap markets look very tasty right now.
The CS2 Betting Audit
Prediction: FURIA ML (1.35) / FURIA 2-0 (2.10)
Result: ❌ LOSS
Lesson: In CS2, you can never overlook a hungry rookie capable of dropping 2.0+ ratings on stage. The “class difference” we expected was there — it just turned out to belong to the other team.
