Final 3-1 series score (Nuke 6-13, Dust2 13-3, Inferno 13-9, Overpass 13-2)
After a real promising first map from FaZe in the first map, it was all downfall since.
FaZe almost lost second time in CS2 history 13-0 in Major Grandfinal. The first sweep in history of CS2 and CS:GO at big events was at BLAST Open Spring 2025 where Vitality 13:0 versus MOUZ
On the fourth and final map Vitality looked destined to achieve an amazing 13-0 win to clich the championship. There was a great chance to make history since Vitality led already 11-0 until FaZe got their first round on Overpass. Storywise a bit unlucky that we didn’t get to witness this super rare event. I would’ve felt right after what was happening the last two hours. Even FaZe boys were laughing and celebrating the odd round win.
But at least our live betting tips hit both cleanly with 1.5 and 2.30 odds.
After all this Grand Final felt excitement-wise a bit disappointing. After the first map, it felt like there was only one team on the server. The Vitality Starladder Championship means the second Major win for apEX on CS2 this year, having already won two Majors in CS:GO (DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 and BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023).
The great French AWPer ZyWoo was awarded as the MVP of Stadladder Major Budapest 2025. This was a great Major in every way. The crowds were great, the bets were great. We can't wait for the CS2 Season 2026.
This Budapest Major concludes this year of Tier-1 CS2. Stay tuned for pre-season roster moves, CS2 betting analysis, roster previews and stats.
