FaZe's Road of Disappointments CS2 Season 2026
FaZe Clan ended 2025 as Starladder Budapest Major finalists and one of the most feared teams in CS2. Three tournaments into 2026, that image has collapsed completely. What was supposed to be a continuation of their Budapest brilliance has instead turned into one of the worst stretches this roster has ever produced.
The question we are asking now: Is it time for FaZe to finally make roster moves?
Karrigan’s Quote Aged Poorly
“With the changes we made, it’s not about 2025 anymore,” karrigan said.
Right now, it doesn’t look like it’s about 2026 either.
The team looks outdated, predictable, and mentally fragile. The idea that karrigan is “saving strats for the Major” is becoming a meme more than a theory. At this point, it feels like FaZe are saving everything — except their results.
There’s also a growing belief that karrigan holds too much internal power and is unwilling to step aside, even if the team would benefit from a leadership change.
Frozen’s Off Day Exposed the Fragility
Frozen had a rare bad game in the elimination game against Astralis — and FaZe instantly fell apart.
A team with championship ambitions cannot be this dependent on one rifler having a good day. The structure simply isn’t there. FaZe should not lose an important match against team of Astralis' caliber.
If FaZe hadn’t kicked rain, he could have transitioned into IGL. Instead, they doubled down on a karrigan system that no longer works. And karrigan does not seem to be able to hit heads in 2026.
FaZe’s 2026 Results: A Full‑Scale Collapse
BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026

IEM Kraków
Destroyed by 3DMAX 0–2

Choked to PARIVISION 1–2
Destroyed by Astralis 0–2
HLTV described FaZe as “dismal” in their Cluj exit — and that’s putting it politely. The team looked lost, unprepared, and mentally checked out.
Who Goes? broky? jcobb? karrigan? It's Time for some Roster Moves.
The CS2 community is already debating the next move:
broky
Still mechanically elite, but his impact has dipped and his passivity is hurting the team. He can’t compete with the best AWPers in the world
jcobb
A role player, not a difference‑maker. FaZe need more firepower or more structure — jcobb provides neither consistently. Maybe FaZe just has to admit they made a wrong move to kick rain and get jcobbb.
karrigan
The true CS2 legend and the leader. But it’s been said for a while already that age has not come by itself.
If FaZe wants to evolve, this is the hardest conversation they must have. Karrigans fragging imput are not the same as they used to be
CS2Bet.io Conclusion: FaZe Are Out of Excuses
Three tournaments, three failures.A lot of questions what were those improvements and changes made in the off season. The Major finalists of 2025 look like a team spiraling out of contention.
Moves has to be made if not now then after Major if they don’t find their groove.Because right now, the only tactic FaZe seem to be executing is disappointing their CS2 fans.
