Blast.tv CS2 Major Playoffs 2025 – What’s Next?
In this blog, we go through the biggest talking points of this major, predict the future and give you some advice on, what to bet on in these Major Playoffs. Group stages have been wild in every way – will we continue on that path?
Wild surprises, big crashouts, major comebacks and unexpected kings of Blast.tv Major
Biggest disappointments
Falcons crashed out shockingly in Stage 2 -- a stunning collapse considering their excellent form heading into the Major. With a stacked roster including NiKo and m0NESY, expectations were sky-high. This elimination underlined just how unpredictable the 2025 CS2 Major has been. On paper, they were built to win. In reality? Out before the playoffs.
North America – We kind of thought… maybe this time it’s different
It’s tough to say what’s been a bigger disappointment so far: Falcons, or the NA scene as a whole. Despite tempered expectations, most North American teams were bullied out of the tournament early — and not even a Complexity miracle run could save the narrative. Once again, NA CS walks away bruised and rebuilding.
OG, HEROIC and G2 – Cool brand, still in rebuild and a cool logo…
There was a chance that these teams could pull off a run. But they just didn’t. OG went out 0–3 — fast, quiet, and disappointing. Heroic followed soon after with a 1–3 exit in Stage 2, showing flashes but no consistency. G2 started Stage 3 with hope, but with bot AWP’er hades missing key shots, they dropped out 2–3. On paper, all three had potential. On the server? They’re still in rebuild mode — and it showed.
Exciting overperformances of the 2025 Major
Legacy – From "who?" into our hearts.
The Brazilian squad came in with zero pressure — and walked away with maximum respect. They stormed through Stage 2 undefeated. Then they kicked off Stage 3 with a statement, 13–3 dismantling of Vitality. Their structure, firepower, and confidence was joyful to watch. They proved they can hang with – and beat– tier-1 teams, even multiple times. It’s not a fluke.
Nemiga – Zweih magic will continue, stay tuned
I think a lot of you had Nemiga to get eliminated 0-3 in the Swiss Stage 1. That sure was not the case. We knew that zweih had potential, but the young man might have gotten a spot in VP, NaVi etc. after this tournament. Nemigais raw, emotional, and unpredictable — but they made it interesting. A Cinderella run if we've ever seen one.
Lynn Vision – Asia’s new #2 flag bearer
While MongolZ came in as the region’s darlings, it was Lynn Vision who turned heads. Wins over Falcons and B8, plus a respectable fight against The MongolZ, showed that Chinese CS2 has leveled up. They didn’t make the playoffs — but they made a statement. They surprised everyone and brought explosive CS2 to server
🇧🇷 Brazilian Bounceback?
There’s a subplot here, too — Brazilian CS is back in full force. FURIA went 3-0 in Stage 3, shocking fans with confident wins over MongolZ, Aurora, and Virtus.pro. paiN fought tooth and nail for their playoff spot and now face off in a high-stakes all-Brazilian brawl. With a hyped-up crowd and regional pride on the line, you can expect fire and emotion. Too bad that the Brazilians face each other in the Quarterfinals.
What can we expect from the CS2 Major Playoffs 2025?
Here are the storylines to follow from now on.
Uneven Playoff Bracket
You could say that all the best teams landed in the bottom half of the bracket. That side features giants like NaVi, Vitality, Spirit, and MOUZ — four teams you’d normally expect in a final. Meanwhile, the top half includes FURIA, paiN, FaZe, and The MongolZ. At the start of the tournament, few would’ve believed FaZe could make the final — but now they might even be favorites to win their half. There’s real betting value in top bracket outrights. It’s still a BO5 final, but remember: just one upset can put a dark horse in position for a Major title.
Time for revenges?
There are many revenge narratives alive. Spirit wants to revenge all those losses against not only Vitality but MOUZ too. MOUZ also wants to avenge to the people trashtalking to them for bad Swiss Stage play. In all Brazilian match up FURIA has something to prove for the earlier loss to paiN. And FaZe is bouncing back after a spring full of struggle. Karrigan hasn’t been fragging. MongolZ have got to many playoffs, but usually have dropped the first playoff matches – will this time be any different?
Is the Good Form of FaZe and s1mple Just Smoke and Mirrors?
FaZe turned heads heading into the playoffs, and s1mple showed fire — shouting, clapping, fist-pumping. But is it real… or just for show? It’s hard to forget the team’s recent struggles — karrigan’s dip, losing ropz, and some very flat performances. One good run doesn’t erase that. Still, it’s an interesting storyline. Could this be the phoenix rising from the ashes? The team still shows signs of shaky coordination and relies heavily on individual brilliance. Their playoff path is wide open… and might not get truly tested until the grand final. If they dominate another match, though — that championship talk might start to sound real.
Betting angles to watch

Map-specific props — teams lean on comfort picks hard when the stakes rise.
